What is the minimum order?
Our minimum order is just 12 bags, with bulk tiers as quantities grow. Made-to-measure sizes and heavier cloths carry the same minimum.
How fast will my canvas bags arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and bags ship in about 2 weeks. Waxed and made-to-measure builds are produced to order rather than pulled from stock, so you get a real date before you commit.
Is a heavier canvas always stronger?
No. Weave beats weight: a 10 oz double-filled duck resists abrasion and tearing better than a 12 oz plain weave, while costing less to make and to ship. Ask any supplier for the weave and the yarn, not just the ounces.
What is duck canvas?
A double-filled weave — two yarns run together in the weft against one in the warp — which packs the cloth much tighter than a plain weave at the same ounce weight. It is the reason two 10 oz canvases can behave nothing alike.
How much does cotton canvas shrink?
Three to five percent on untreated cloth, nearly all on the first wash. That is enough to pull a print out of square, so anything decorated should be on pre-shrunk sanforised cloth or have the shrinkage allowed for in the artwork.
Why will my bag not stand up?
Because it has no base. A flat tote sags into a U under load; a boxed gusset gives it a real footprint. We also bind the base seam, because that is the edge that abrades through against floors and car boots.
Is waxed canvas waterproof?
No. It is water resistant — showers bead and run off, sustained rain eventually gets through. It is re-waxable, which is its real advantage, and a welded synthetic is the honest choice if contents must stay dry.
Do you make checkout and single-use carriers?
No. Everything here is heavy cotton canvas built to be kept and reloaded for years. We do not make paper carriers or non-woven polypropylene bags, and we would rather send you elsewhere than sell you the wrong material.
